Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how DigiByte Market (“DigiByte Market,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit digibytemarket.com (the “Site”), including our automotive editorial articles and related pages. By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.
DigiByte Market publishes practical automotive content for drivers and vehicle owners—covering topics such as auto glass and windshield care, detailing and window tinting, ignition and repair parts, selling or scrapping a car, towing, and related transportation guides. A separate DigiByte Marketplace section may also appear on the Site; marketplace activity is distinct from editorial articles. This Policy applies to personal information processed in connection with the Site as operated by us.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in the following categories:
- Information you provide. If you email us or submit a contact form, we receive the content of your message and any contact details you include (such as name and email address).
- Automatic technical data. When you browse the Site, our servers and security tools may collect IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, date/time of access, and similar diagnostic logs needed to operate and secure the Site.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We and third parties may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar tools. Essential cookies support basic site functions (for example, remembering your cookie preferences). Non-essential cookies—such as analytics or advertising cookies—are used only after you provide consent where required by law. See our EU Cookie Policy and USA Cookie Policy for category details and rights.
We do not knowingly require account registration to read our automotive articles. If marketplace or third-party tools request account credentials, those tools may collect additional data under their own policies.
2. Google AdSense and cookie-based advertising disclosure
This Site uses, or may use, Google AdSense to display advertising. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on digibytemarket.com. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and/or other websites. This is a form of interest-based (personalized) advertising when enabled.
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your activity on this Site and other sites in order to provide advertising about goods and services that may interest you. These vendors act as independent controllers or processors of certain data under their own privacy policies.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings and/or by using industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out. You can also manage preferences through our on-site cookie banner (Accept / Reject) and the Cookie Settings control in the Site footer. Rejecting non-essential cookies will limit personalized ads and non-essential analytics where technically controlled by us.
For more information about how Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps, see Google’s Partner Sites policy.
3. Third-party ad vendors and partners
In addition to Google, advertising networks and measurement partners that participate in Google’s advertising ecosystem or similar networks may receive cookie identifiers, truncated IP data, and page-context signals to deliver, measure, and prevent fraud in ads. We do not control all cookies set by third parties. Their practices are governed by their respective privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies and use the opt-out mechanisms described above.
External links in our automotive articles (for example, to safety or repair educational resources) may lead to third-party sites that collect data under their own terms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
4. Analytics
We may use Google Analytics or similar analytics tools to understand aggregated traffic patterns (popular articles, device types, geographic regions). Analytics cookies are treated as non-essential and, where required, will not load until you accept analytics or marketing preferences via the cookie banner. Analytics providers may process IP addresses and device identifiers under their own terms. Where available, we may enable IP anonymization or comparable settings.
5. How we use information
We use information to: operate, maintain, and improve the Site; respond to inquiries; measure audience interest in automotive topics; detect abuse, spam, and security incidents; comply with law; and—only with appropriate consent or other lawful basis—deliver and measure advertising, including Google AdSense.
6. Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: consent for non-essential cookies and personalized advertising; legitimate interests for securing the Site, preventing fraud, and understanding aggregate readership of automotive content (balanced against your rights); and contractual necessity or legal obligation when responding to requests or complying with law. You may withdraw consent at any time via Cookie Settings without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
7. Data retention
Server logs are typically retained for a limited period needed for security and diagnostics (often up to 12 months, unless a longer period is required for an investigation). Email correspondence is retained as long as needed to resolve your request and for legitimate business records. Cookie lifetimes vary by category; advertising and analytics cookies often expire between a session and 24 months unless cleared earlier. You may delete cookies through your browser at any time.
8. Sharing and “sale” / “sharing” of personal information
We do not sell personal information for money. However, under California law (CCPA/CPRA), disclosing identifiers to advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a “sale” or “share.” If AdSense or similar partners are enabled after consent, such disclosures may occur. California residents can opt out via the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in our footer and on our USA Cookie Policy. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where detected by our consent script.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of personal data we hold; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents have additional rights described in our USA Cookie Policy, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/sharing, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.
To submit a privacy request, email privacy@digibytemarket.com or use our Contact page. We will verify and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
10. Children’s privacy
The Site is directed to a general audience interested in automotive information and is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 where required). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Security and international transfers
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. No method of transmission over the Internet is fully secure. If we process data in the United States or other countries, we take steps designed to provide appropriate safeguards where required by law.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be posted on this page. For privacy questions or data requests, contact privacy@digibytemarket.com.
