DigiByte Market

EU Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

This EU Cookie Policy explains how digibytemarket.com (“we,” “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies for visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, in line with the ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3)), the GDPR / UK GDPR, and current regulatory guidance (including requirements for prior consent to non-essential cookies, equal prominence of Accept and Reject choices, and easy withdrawal of consent).

DigiByte Market is an automotive information site. Cookies help the Site function, remember your preferences, understand which vehicle-care articles are useful, and—only with consent—support advertising such as Google AdSense.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and scripts that read or store information on your terminal equipment. Under ePrivacy rules, storing or accessing information on your device generally requires prior informed consent, except for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you requested.

2. Legal basis and prior consent

For EEA/UK visitors:

3. Cookie categories we use

Strictly necessary

These enable core features: remembering that you accepted or rejected cookies (stored in localStorage under a key such as dbm_cookie_consent), basic security, and navigation. Legal basis: necessary for the service requested / exempt under ePrivacy.

Analytics

Optional tools (for example Google Analytics, if enabled) help us measure aggregate traffic to automotive articles. They may process IP address and device identifiers. Legal basis: consent. These scripts do not load until you Accept analytics/marketing preferences.

Advertising / marketing

Optional advertising cookies, including those used by Google AdSense and participating vendors, support interest-based ads and measurement. Legal basis: consent. Personalized advertising cookies are blocked until you Accept.

Functional (non-essential)

Optional features that remember non-critical preferences. Legal basis: consent where not strictly necessary.

4. Google AdSense and third parties

If you consent to advertising cookies, Google and other ad vendors may set cookies to serve and measure ads based on visits to this and other sites. You can also use Google Ads Settings and industry opt-outs. Third parties process data under their own policies; we do not control every cookie they set after consent.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR/UK GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and you may withdraw cookie consent at any time. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (for example, your EU member state DPA or the UK ICO). Contact privacy@digibytemarket.com for requests.

6. How to manage cookies

Use our on-site banner and Cookie Settings control; clear cookies in your browser settings; or use browser controls that block third-party cookies. Rejecting non-essential cookies will not prevent you from reading our automotive articles.

7. Retention

Consent records stored locally remain until you clear site data or update preferences. Advertising/analytics cookies typically last from a session up to 24 months unless deleted earlier. Necessary preference cookies persist so we do not re-ask every page load unnecessarily, while still allowing easy change.

8. International transfers

Where analytics or advertising providers process data outside the EEA/UK, they may rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other transfer mechanisms described in their documentation.

9. Updates and contact

We may update this Policy to reflect regulatory or technology changes. Material updates will revise the date above. Questions: privacy@digibytemarket.com. Related documents: Privacy Policy, USA Cookie Policy.
